Where to find it

How to get it: gift (Lv 95), Indigo Plateau (Indigo Conference: finalists' arrival)

Held-item forms

• Mewtwo holding Steel Armor becomes Armored Mewtwo. No nature requirement.

These are held-item transformations, not permanent evolutions. Removing the required item returns the Pokémon to its base form. The transformation rules are verified in the game code; every animation and item-change sequence has not been replayed.

See the quest guide: Indigo Plateau (final chapter): Mewtwo joins you (take it before the Elite Four); Indigo Plateau slope (final chapter): Steven's and Cynthia's confessions.

Evolution

Does not evolve.
