Where to find it
- Scripted encounter (Lv. 95): Distortion World — reached through Reversal Cave.
After the final Hall of Fame and Lance’s visit to your house in Pallet Town. Retrieve the Griseous Orb from the Dark Cave shrine after the final Hall of Fame. Carry it through Route 47’s Reversal Cave statue into the Distortion World and summon Giratina at its former spot. One chance: catching it, knocking it out or fleeing removes it; only losing allows a retry.
Held-item forms
- Giratina holding Griseous Orb becomes Giratina (Origin Forme). No nature requirement.
These are held-item transformations, not permanent evolutions. Removing the required item returns the Pokémon to its base form.
See the quest guide: Reversal Cave: chase Giovanni through the Distortion World (story; warp-pad maze); Dialga, Palkia and Giratina: catch them (after Lance's visit).
Evolution
Does not evolve.
